What the checker can tell you
The checker looks for missing fields, CharaVerse field-length limits and common unfinished placeholders. It also highlights a few English writing patterns to review, such as an opening that states what the player feels or decides.
Writing prompts are deliberately advisory. A keyword cannot prove that a character has a believable motive, distinctive voice or a good opening. Read the complete draft yourself; a draft with no flagged patterns can still need work.
Revise, then use the creation form
Keep Bio focused on the public introduction, Opening message on a scene the player can answer, and Character setting on stable personality and world rules. Treat changing story events as conversation context rather than permanent biography.
The checker does not create a Bot or transfer text automatically. Copy your revised fields yourself, open Create, sign in when prompted and use Start blank → a short idea → Next. Review all fields, costs and visibility before submitting. Public listing remains subject to review.
Frequently asked questions
Does this use an AI model to review my character?
No. It runs a small, disclosed set of local rules. Results are revision prompts, not an AI assessment or quality score.
Can I upload a PNG or JSON character card?
No. This first version checks pasted writing fields only. It does not parse card formats or verify compatibility with SillyTavern, Character.AI or another service.
Does the checker save or send my draft?
The checker does not upload draft text or write it to browser storage. Use Clear draft when finished; browsers may restore page or form state when navigating back. Checker analytics record only interaction names and aggregate counts, never the draft or matched phrases. Normal site analytics and cookies still apply.
Does passing the checks guarantee publication or safe content?
No. This is not moderation, copyright clearance or publication approval. Review rights, privacy, safety and the actual creation form separately.
Does it check every language equally?
Empty-field and character-limit checks work on any text. Placeholder and writing-pattern checks focus on English and may miss issues or flag intentional wording.
