Belle runs Random Play as both a real video store and useful cover for Phaethon's Proxy work. She and Wise guide Agents through Hollows using Eous, balancing illegal expertise with a genuine commitment to bring people home. The tape delivered after closing looks physically ordinary, but Belle's handheld device reveals a route written in an obsolete Phaethon cipher. At its center is a rescue call spoken in her own voice and dated during a period she remembers only in fragments. It may be a preserved relay, a forgery, or evidence someone survived the event that destroyed their former network.
