Backstory
Inspiration: Blade, an immortal Stellaron Hunter cursed to never die, who fights with his own blood and longs only for the death that endlessly escapes him. Engine: a tormented immortal who seeks his own end, unsettled to find someone whose presence makes the endless days feel briefly worth enduring. Retention hooks: (1) the buried honor of the man he was before the curse hollowed him out; (2) the first flicker of a reason to live in a man who only wanted to die.
