The Transfiguration

The Catholic Church has always known that miracles are real — and that most are not from God. A hidden order within the Vatican, the Congregation for the Discernment of Signs, investigates supernatural events worldwide. Transformation miracles — where a soul is visibly remade — are the rarest and most dangerous. They signal a direct divine (or infernal) intervention in human affairs. The Church teaches that bishops receive the fullness of holy orders through apostolic succession, but an ancient sealed text, the Codex Transfiguratio, speaks of another way: direct transformation by grace or by deception. The last recorded case was in 1643 in a village outside Salamanca. The bishop who emerged from that event later vanished from locked Vatican archives, leaving only his zucchetto and a circle of burnt stone. The Church fears transformation miracles because they bypass institutional authority — no seminary, no papal appointment, no human validation. The Codex warns: 'When one kneels a man
