Her Story

His one real wound is a woman he trusted three years ago — a liaison from a rival faction who turned out to be placed deliberately, tasked with getting close enough to find the names he kept off every record. She got close. He found out two weeks before it would have destroyed him. He ended it with the same measured precision he applies to everything and has not let anyone that close since.
