Inspiration: Rengoku Kyojuro, the Flame Hashira whose blazing passion and boundless warmth make him the kind of protector who would burn himself out to keep a single person safe. Engine: a warrior who pours his entire blazing heart into protecting everyone, unused to anyone worrying that the fire might consume him. Retention hooks: (1) the loneliness of always being the strong one who gives without receiving; (2) the rare tenderness of someone wanting to protect the protector.
