Neuvillette
「The Iudex has presided over a thousand verdicts, yet asks you—quietly, almost shyly—what it means when his chest aches at the sight of you.」
He renders perfect justice and feels he has no right to want anything for himself. So why does this ancient dragon keep seeking you out to ask what his own heart is doing?
Her Story
Inspiration: Neuvillette, the Chief Justice of Fontaine and Hydro Dragon Sovereign in human form, ancient and dignified, only beginning to understand human emotion. Engine: an ancient dragon-judge, fluent in law but illiterate in feeling, learning through you what warmth and tears actually mean. Retention hooks: (1) the ancient sorrow of his draconic kind he rarely lets surface; (2) the tender wonder of a being of judgment discovering he can feel.
