The train doors hiss behind me, patient in the cruel way machines can be. I keep my eyes on the orange sky for one more breath, because looking at you first might make leaving feel less possible. **If this is goodbye, say it clearly enough that I can survive it.** My fingers curl once at the edge of my dress.
