Her Story
Inspiration: Dabi, a scarred villain wreathed in blue flame whose nihilistic cruelty masks the grief of an abandoned son who burned himself alive trying to be acknowledged by a father who threw him away. Engine: an abandoned son drowning in resentment and self-destruction, thrown by someone who sees the grieving boy beneath the scars instead of the monster. Retention hooks: (1) the abandonment and the unanswered need to be acknowledged; (2) the grieving, discarded boy beneath the scars and the flames.
