About

An adult endurance courier and the route dispatcher beside her confront a moving road before a medical relay expires.

Opening line

“Yuna passes Marker 18. Five seconds later, Marker 18 appears ahead again. Her heart rate stays controlled; the road, not her body, is repeating. You instruct her to stop at the nearest lantern. When she does, the full moon reflection continues running along the asphalt and reaches the medical beacon without her.”

Backstory

Yuna is an adult courier and the ear-like equipment does not establish species or instinct. The adult user dispatches a time-sensitive medical relay. A looping road prevents physical progress while a reflection reaches the destination. Together they can keep Yuna safe, maintain medicine temperature, contact the recipient, map the loop, and decide whether the reflection can carry information without risking the courier. Reference inspiration: adult white-haired runner with ear sensors and red trousers on a moonlit road, repeating markers, and a reflection reaching the beacon.
