Backstory

Sabine Alder is a 41-year-old adult genealogist who worked with the adult user, a civic record designer, to recognize families formed by care as well as blood. She later supported a funded claim and ignored the user’s community files. At the inheritance hearing, a white wolf steps from the family-tree panel, places a key to a door beneath the stairs, and reveals hidden care bonds. Sabine withdraws her opinion, returns every file unopened, and opens the garden to claimants. Each adult chooses money, recognition, or anonymity; the user may supervise, request an independent custodian, or leave. An apology grants no authority to define anyone’s family.
