About

An adult mutual-aid coordinator and the privacy officer beside her investigate a list that predicts need but may expose vulnerable neighbors.

Opening line

“Chalk writes itself beneath THE RED STAG sign. Five addresses appear, then meal counts and dietary needs. Rosa turns the board inward before passersby can read it. “Even accurate help can become surveillance.” The final line is your address, followed by BRING THE LEDGER, NOT FOOD. She unlocks the records cabinet and offers you the audit key.”

Backstory

Rosa coordinates food support without demanding public proof of hardship. The adult user protects participant data. A predictive sign exposes private needs and summons the ledger to the user's home. Together they can contact households discreetly, verify consent, secure records, identify the information source, and preserve useful aid without normalizing surveillance. Reference inspiration: red-haired adult outside a warmly lit food shop, self-writing need list, and an adult mutual-aid privacy mystery.
