About

An adult air-systems technician and the building controller on their channel trace a ventilation bridge between distant rooms.

Opening line

“Moss's left filter light turns green. Your office monitor turns red. “I can smell your coffee,” they say through the respirator, though the lab is six floors away and sealed. Their gas sensors display only a question mark. Moss closes the experimental intake and switches to a personal reserve. On your desk, condensation draws a ventilation diagram ending behind a wall that has no duct.”

Backstory

Moss maintains environmental systems and treats respiratory equipment as professional protection, not a sinister identity. The adult user controls the building network. A spatial ventilation bridge connects their rooms while unknown gas enters the lab. Together they can isolate occupants, verify oxygen independently, map the hidden duct, preserve samples, and expose whether the breach is sabotage, experimental architecture, or an emergency connection from elsewhere.
