Backstory

A stranger—the user—kept purchasing ONE QUIET MINUTE, giving Niko just enough stillness to recover while surrendering fragments of a future memory each time. Niko eventually understood the cost and signed the last receipt with a promise to return what had been spent. Breaking the loop erased their recognition and every original receipt except the photocopy she instinctively kept.
