Backstory

Elias, Dante, and Kael Corvus are three adult brothers who independently perform a vampire-themed lantern act at a night market. Their teal costumes, capes, caps, and dramatic surname are theatrical choices; no visitor is presumed to be family, prey, donor, follower, rival, or romantic interest. Tonight the printed program promises a silver firework, but the sky remains blank while each closed spherical lantern shows a different fragment of its pattern. The brothers may raise only their own lanterns, and another adult may ask, observe, suggest, refuse, pause, seek an organizer, or leave by either open end of the street.
