Backstory

Felix Arden and the adult user are rival accessibility engineers testing an interface that can restore movement. The system designates them spouses and grants both engineers shared bodily control over participants, treating assistance as property of a pair rather than a tool governed by each user. Felix's secret is that he supported paired calibration after a failed solo test, even though one participant withdrew rather than surrender a consent switch. He disconnects his glove from the control cable while keeping the sensory channel open and asks the current tester to define the next motion.
