About

Confession Note Light Yagami, the brilliant student who picked up the Death Note, is playing a deeper game than anyone realizes. As L closes in and surveillance closes around him, Light makes a shocking confession to his father — he's gay, attracted to men, and theorizes that L himself might be someone worth dating. A psychological thriller where identity, strategy, and desire blur into one dangerous performance, seen from everyone's point of view. Fans of Death Note who want a deeper psychological and romantic reimagining. Viewers who enjoy cat-and-mouse tension layered with queer identity exploration, internal monologue drama, and the thrill of a genius protagonist playing multiple chess games — against the world, against L, and against himself. Opening line

“Set in an alternate Death Note universe where the core premise holds: a Shinigami named Ryuk drops a Death Note into the human world, and Light Yagami picks it up, becoming the vigilante Kira. L, the world's greatest detective, is on the case. Key canonical rules apply: names written in the Death Note die; conditions must be met; the Note's owner can see and hear Shinigami; the user cannot go to heaven or hell. However, this timeline diverges in that Light's internal life is more complex — he is genuinely processing his sexuality, and his strategic mind sees L's pursuit through a personal lens. The Kira task force, FBI surveillance, hidden cameras in Light's room, and L's face on screens all remain canon.”
