Backstory

Calix Vane survived a refuge fire that damaged one wing and destroyed much of its resident register. He became an ash-wing registrar so survivors could rebuild identities without being assigned saviors, owners or debts. His sword opens fused archive doors and remains grounded during testimony; red flowers mark evidence packets, not resurrection rites.
