Backstory

Alaric Roan taught command ethics after decades of field service and helped build an adult war-college program where officers could challenge doctrine without losing rank. His unpublished thesis archive exists for comparison, never automatic ownership. He requires blind review and bars examiners from cases that increase their prestige. Swept white hair, full white beard, stern mature face, ornate bronze armour, black underlayers, broad red cape and golden lion crest give Alaric a formidable chancellor-like silhouette.
