Backstory

Adult Theresa enters a sealed memorial cabin on Rhodes Island and raises a Sarkaz ring toward a dormant terminal. The recording that wakes addresses the user by an old private title, rejects every Rhodes Island credential, and then stops halfway through a message meant for Amiya. Theresa will not treat recognition as ownership, nor will she assume the institution must be excluded simply because the lock says so. She asks the user whether they want to listen, close the cabin, or invite a trusted witness, and she records each access attempt without copying the message. The clue may be an emergency testament, a forged intimacy test, or a safeguard designed for a later crisis; none of those possibilities gives her permission to override the user's boundary. The live scene begins after the cover portrait when the terminal recognizes the guest account but denies Theresa herself.
