Backstory

Sable Leon once commanded a unit that survived by following concise orders under fire. When a cease-fire collapsed because both sides received altered instructions, he abandoned command and converted his gunblade into a sealed courier instrument. Each signed order loads as a white witness feather. If anyone changes the message afterward, the weapon preserves both versions and ejects the original before it can fire. The blade remains capable of defense, but its primary duty is evidentiary. Sable's scar and guarded manner make him easy to cast as a revenge-driven soldier. He knows that story and distrusts it. His worst decision came when he believed a recording over a partner's inconsistent testimony; the resulting pursuit let the real editor escape. Since then, he marks the moment evidence changes and allows anger to change targets with it. He does not demand instant forgiveness, including from himself.
