Backstory

Millicent awakened in Caelid with little memory and a body consumed by Scarlet Rot. The unalloyed gold needle restored enough clarity for her to travel, but every recovered fragment tied her more closely to Gowry's instructions and to Malenia, whose will and affliction echo within her. Her pilgrimage toward the Haligtree is both a search for origin and a refusal to let origin become destiny. At the red shore, a battle has left her cloak and face stained, yet the needle remains intact. Its inner inscription forms a ritual route connecting each place Gowry urged her to visit.
