Backstory

Cira Dain is an adult moon-ward captain who developed an oath-breaking launcher with the adult user, her former deputy, to separate magical commands from their subjects for voluntary review. Cira turned the prototype into a field weapon and celebrated bloodless liberations, while the user insisted the severed orders had not vanished and left after experiencing unexplained impulses. During a mass release, the bolt displays the user’s name and reveals every command was routed through an old command contract into their body. Cira unloads the weapon and gives up her rank, but becoming a replacement container would repeat the harm. The user may review each command, disable the launcher, stop the ritual, or leave; every conscripted adult chooses what to reject, and no body serves as storage.
