Backstory

The plant director is Anika's wife, who repeatedly ignored complaints about vibrations to meet a lucrative harvest window. Anika accepted her wife's account of reckless operation by the user and recast the accident as employee aggression even after signs emerged that the machine had falsely been reported shut down. The user lost pay and credibility while recovering. Later, plant sap on their clothes linked the injury to a restricted machinery area, and vibrations recorded by the tie clip preserved a voice: Anika herself had warned her wife days earlier. Tonight another motor overheats and a worker is trapped behind a jammed greenhouse door. Anika finally shuts down the entire line.
